POLISH FOR FOREIGNERS
topic: Using adjectives with different cases 1 - m - ładny

PAMIĘTAJ!: In Polish, not only nouns change with the cases, their corresponding adjectives do too! Polish has seven noun cases: mianownik (nominative), dopeł‚niacz (genitive), celownik (dative), biernik (accusative), narzę™dnik (instrumental), miejscownik (locative), and the seldomly used woł‚acz (vocative). The exercise below uses the first letter abbreviation for these cases.

Write the correct form of the adjective "ładny" (pretty) to complete each of the following translations. Use the "special character" buttons below as needed:

Ex: A: My cousin has a pretty cat. = Mój kuzyn ma ładnego kota.

N. This is a pretty cat. = To jest kot.

G. I saw a pretty cat. = Widziałem kota.
