POLISH FOR FOREIGNERS
topic: Using adjectives with different cases 1 - m - ladny

PAMIĘTAJ!: In Polish, not only nouns change with the cases, their corresponding adjectives do too! Polish has seven noun cases: mianownik (nominative), dopełniacz (genitive), celownik (dative), biernik (accusative), narzędnik (instrumental), miejscownik (locative), and the seldomly used wołacz (vocative). The exercise below uses the first letter abbreviation for these cases.

Write the correct form of the adjective "ładny" (pretty) to complete each of the following translations. Use the "special character" buttons below as needed:

Ex: A: My cousin has a pretty cat. = Mój kuzyn ma ładnego kota.

N. This is a pretty cat. = To jest kot.

G. I saw a pretty cat. = Widziałem kota.

D. That man gave some milk to the pretty cat. = Ten pan dał mleko kotu.

A. I love my pretty cat. = Kocham mojego kota.

I. They are playing with the pretty cat. = Oni się bawi± z kotem.

L. My mom is talking about the pretty cat. = Moja mama opowiada o kocie.
