POLISH FOR FOREIGNERS
topic: Using adjectives with different cases 2 - m - ładni/ładne

PAMIĘTAJ!: In Polish, not only nouns change with the cases, their corresponding adjectives do too! Polish has seven noun cases: mianownik (nominative), dopełniacz (genitive), celownik (dative), biernik (accusative), narzędnik (instrumental), miejscownik (locative), and the seldomly used wołacz (vocative). The exercise below uses the first letter abbreviation for these cases.

Write the correct form of the plural adjective "ładni/ładne" (pretty) to complete each of the following translations. Use the "special character" buttons below as needed:

Ex: A: I saw pretty cats. = Zobaczyłam ładne koty.

N. The pretty cats are sleeping on the couch. = koty ¶pi± na kanapie.

G. There are no pretty cats around here. = Nie ma tu kotów.

D. I gave some fish to the pretty cats. = Dałam rybę kotom.

A. We fed our pretty cats. = Nakarmiły¶my nasze koty.

I. We are taking care of the pretty cats. = Opiekujemy się naszymi kotami.

L. The child was dreaming about the pretty cats. = Dziecko ¶niło o kotach.

V. Hey, pretty cats! = Hej, koty!
